It is a rather cute story and fun to read. I felt that the plot was rather slow for about 200 pages, but it quickly gained momentum. I really wished that something happened between them. I loved all of the chemistry between Mina and Cameron. He was very mysterous and also rather awesome. The new character Cameron was probably my favorite part of the book. I find her best friend Serena to be a bit too dependent on Mina and also annoying at times. In her new town, she doesn't struggle with the clique like in the first book, which was one of the most relatable qualities.

Mina is an interesting character, because she doesn't want to be a vampire. In this eagerly awaited sequel to the popular Sucks to Be Me, Kimberly Pauley addresses many of her fans’ most pressing questions (Will Serena become a vampire? What happened to Raven? What’s next for Mina and George?) with signature humor and breezy bloodsucking style.
